Dr. Anita Herrera-Hamilton is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and specializes in treating children, adolescents and young adults with the following conditions:
- learning disabilities,
- gifted and/or atypical learning styles,
- concussion, traumatic brain injury, and
- other neurological or medical conditions affecting brain-behavior relationships.
Psychotherapeutically, Dr. Herrera-Hamilton works with athletes, coaches, parents and professionals on mindful performance enhancement strategies within the academic, athletic, work and home settings.
Dr. Herrera-Hamilton also holds a part-time appointment as Assistant Professor at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine. For over 15 years, Dr. Herrera-Hamilton provided neuropsychological exams to multiple divisions at CHLA including: Neurology, Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Hematology-Oncology, Orthopaedics and Pediatrics.
With regard to training, Dr. Herrera-Hamilton completed an APA-accredited pediatric neuropsychology track internship at Children's Hospital, Colorado and a two-year APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles.
